Shogo Kubo was born in Japan and came to the United States when he was young. He took to skateboarding around the age of twelve and met Jay Adams. He quickly tapped into his potential and became one of the most stylish skateboarders to ever roll on this planet. He had a great career and moved to Hawaii in the nineteen eighties. He started a family and continued to skate and surf. He passed away while surfing in the water that he loved in 2014.
